What’s in my current makeup bag? Work Edition.

Now, if you see me on a daily basis (work colleagues) you’ll know most days, I don’t wear much makeup. This is usually because I’d rather use those extra 20 minutes sleeping than slapping my face on. However, sometimes I wake up a little bit earlier than planned and decide to put on a bit of makeup! For me, I usually have a better day if I’m wearing makeup, probably because I know I’m covering those under eye circles with concealer and have a bit of colour to my face, it’s all psychological!

I don’t like wearing anything too heavy, just a bit of tinted moisturiser, maybe a little powder foundation, concealer, blush & bronzer. Bit of eyebrow tint ran through the brows and a lip balm. My makeup routine for errands/work is different compared to the weekend usually, it would be slightly more full coverage if I had some sort of event.

Base/Products to even the skintone

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue – I absolutely love this! I use the shade ginger, it is a tinted moisturiser containing marine botanicals to help hydrate the skin. This certainly does help, I have combination/dehydrated skin and using this keeps my skin hydrated all day! It is also available in 15 different shades. £27

Bare Minerals Barepro Performance Wear Powder Foundation – As you can tell in the title, this is a powder foundation, I use this to either create a fuller coverage of foundation or on my t-zone for the oily areas. It provides an ultra smooth, silky texture on the skin and the finish is flawless. This comes in 20 different shades. £27

Bare Minerals Bareskin Serum Concealer – This provides high coverage under the eyes, as I suffer from dark circles this is a god send for me! I still prefer the Eve Pearl Dual Salmon Concealer for under the eyes but this does the job for just work/errands makeup. Available in 6 different shades. £21

Adding warmth/colour to the face

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I have used this since I was about 13, I’m not a fan of contour at all I just love a bit of warmth and colour brought to my face! This is perfect, I have tried other products but nothing compares to this in my opinion. £24

ZOEVA Pink Spectrum Blush Palette – My go to blush palette, either this one or the coral one. You get a selection of 4 shades in each palette, and for only £15! As you can see mine is well loved as it’s a little messy…

NYX Tinted Brow Gel – I’m also very lazy when it comes to my eyebrows, I get them tinted regularly so I don’t need to fill them in much so a tinted brow gel does the job for day to day wear. Only £6! … Sometimes I’ll fill in the ends with a little bit of brow pencil or brow gel if I have enough time. Eyebrows stress me out!

Nivea Lip Balms/Vaseline – For a bit of colour and hydration I alternate between the Nivea watermelon and cherry flavours, or the rose coloured Vaseline!

& that is it… nothing too heavy, just something simple, it probably takes me about 15/20 minutes to do this. I highly recommend all of these products for a no makeup/makeup look. There is nothing better than having a nice, healthy glow to the skin.

Let me know what you think if you try any of these products!
